| I ran these miles at 8,000-8,500 ft. My calf was extremely tight so I just took it easy so I wouldn't reinjure myself. A lot of hills. | Add Comment |

| I ran the first mile at a warm up pace of 8:20. The next few miles were 7:08(flat), 7:13(uphill and flat), 6:49(slightly downhill and flat), 7:32(mostly uphill), 7:12(slightly downhill), and 7:23(flat and slightly uphill). The last half mile I just cooled down at 8:00 pace. It was a good run overall. I was able to 5-6 miles at marathon or faster pace. |

Dace and I ran 20 on the course this morning starting just north of Veyo to the park. We finished at 7:24 pace. The last mile was run at that pace. I don't know if I still had a 10K left in me, but I did do the speed work yesterday that probably cost me a bit. It was a confidence builder today, and my calf held up again.
Let's hope it all stays together and the stars line up come race day. |

I'll say they were all fast today because of the winds and the uphill parts. I did the 1st mile at 7:29, then 7:31, 7:37, 7:49, 7:46, 7:29, 7:30, 7:26, and 7:18. I had to really push on some of these miles. I was a little sore and winded from my run on Sat. on the course.
I'll be on the bike tomorrow. My legs need the rest. I'll go 20 on the bike. Wed. I'm planning on running 10 miles at marathon pace. |

| Ran 10 miles. About 5 of them were at marathon pace. It felt good overall. My quads are still a little sore from the run on Sat. Tomorrow I'll do 20 on the bike again. |

| Nice easy run today. I ran the first mile at 7:55 to warmup. Then from there I slowly sped it up. I ran 7:45, 7:32, 7:21, and 6:56 thereafter. The only mile that was really a push was the last. Legs felt good mostly other than a slight twinge in my right calf that was injured about a month ago. |

Dace and I ran through Santa Clara, Ivins, and down Snow Canyon Pkwy. We kept it at a moderate pace most of the way, but we mixed in a few fast miles.
Mile 4 we ran at 7:10 pace, mile 9 at 7:09, and mile 14 at 7:05 pace. The rest of the miles were either +- 8:00 pace.
We finished the run at 2:05:36. |

I went out today thinking I would run at marathon pace, but the legs felt great so I went for it. I ran 7:23, 7:17, 7:12, 7:09, 7:07, 7:05, and then 7:14 on the last mile.
The last mile was the only tough mile because it was uphill with a bit of a head wind. The rest of the miles I felt pretty relaxed on. On the bike tomorrow for 20, and then it's off deer hunting so I'll have to pick up my runs in the middle of the day on dirt roads. Should be interesting! Hopefully I can eat fairly decent. |

Ran at a moderate pace today. Ankle felt great even though it's still pretty swollen. I was up on the mountain so I ran at about 8,000 ft.
AP was 8:18 overall. | Add Comment |

Last run before the marathon. It felt great. Temperature was great if we could just get rid of the winds. The ankle felt good, and I iced it afterwards.
AP was 7:44 with the winds. |
