I went out today thinking I would run at marathon pace, but the legs felt great so I went for it.  I  ran 7:23, 7:17, 7:12, 7:09, 7:07, 7:05, and then 7:14 on the last mile.

The last mile was the only tough mile because it was uphill with a bit of a head wind.  The rest of the miles I felt pretty relaxed on.  On the bike tomorrow for 20, and then it's off deer hunting so I'll have to pick up my runs in the middle of the day on dirt roads.  Should be interesting!  Hopefully I can eat fairly decent.

Holy cow!! Look at you go with those speedy miles Chad. Your looking very strong coming into this taper. Looking forward to running with you. And trying to keep up with you.:) And the dirt road running with be great on your joints and such. Just remember that you run slower on those terrain so dont kill yourself trying to do MP or better.

Thanks, I just hope I can sustain. Yeah, the rest of this week will be easy miles. Only plan on running 15 more for the week.

I think we're all in pretty good shape for the marathon. It should be a good group. You'll keep up just fine unless it's due to all the muscle weight that I have a great lack of (just fat on me).

Oh its good to have some fat on you for later in the race right.:) At least that is what I keep saying to the wife. Even though I got to tighten up my diet for sure these last few days.

I don't know about that, but it does weigh less than muscle. That would be nice it that's true though. I need every little bit of help that I can get.
