The leg was bothering me again the last 3 or so.  I'll be going to see April tomorrow so hopefully we'll get it fixed (get the knot out).

Well, did April fix you up? Are you doing STG?

Mike-She did get it fixed up. I had a huge knot in the calf and achilles area. I didn't get signed up for the St. George this year. I might do the California Intl. in Dec. though. How about you are you doing the STG? Are you going for a sub 3?

Yes, I am signed up for STG. Sub 3 is the goal, we shall see. You are so close to your BQ. I had a hard time with the 3:15 and now we run a faster pace every long run. A couple of things to consider for you. First, you have a ton of talent and trust me your faster than I am. Second, no doubt you have more than enough speed, I know remember the Spectrum. Third, you have the same problem I did, injuries. Ok, this is just a suggestion. Build a huge base, a lot of runs 10 - 13 miles and mainly rollers, up-hill. Once a week do a lomg run with some speed but make sure your warmed up and DO NOT OVER DO IT. Just be consistent! You do not need a ton of speed for a 3:15, but you need endurance, endurance and did I mention endurance. Stay healthy at all cost and build that base. Pick a marathon after STG and I will run it with you.

Thanks for the advice. It looks like I might be running the CA Intl. in Dec. Send me an email at chadelo@gmail.com with your cell # so I can pick your brain on some of this stuff.
