I met Butch at the Confluence Trailhead.  So he ran 2.25 miles to meet me.  We headed up the trail to Hilton Dr.  We got back on the trail near Tonaquint Park then we took Dixie Dr. to Sunset then through Santa Clara, and up through Ivins.  We then took Snow Canyon Pkwy. to the trail that takes you back to Dixie Dr.  This is a great scenic run that Butch enjoyed.  It was his first time running it.  I was only going to go 20, but we ended up short of the car so we ran an extra .5 and walked in the final 1/3 to 1/2 of a mile.

The run felt good for the most part.  It was a good confidence builder.  My calves held up.  I was a little worried with all the miles I put on the last 3 days and the tightness.  My right calf was pretty tight most of the way, but loosened up towards the end.  On the downhill portion the last few miles, my left achilles started hurting a little so we slowed the pace to finish up.

My Cardio held up really well.  Butch even commented on my breathing being really good towards the end of the run.  I didn't feel like I was working as hard as I normally am on a run of that distance.  I had quite a bit left in the tank cardio wise.

We spent some quality time this afternoon picnicing in Leeds as a family.  It was a great time.  We had an Easter Egg Hunt for the kids, and we played some sports with some local kids.  Some of which went to Hannah's school.  We then went home and watched some conference which we had recorded.  I went to the Priesthood session.  The messages were great as always.
